Sydney City BreaksTheres more to Sydney than the obvious icons, so once youve seen those, take a look behind the scenes at yet more exciting attractions. TASTING TARONGA Visiting Taronga Zoo just became an even better experience,
with the addition of an international food market housed in Thai-style
pavilions, featuring more than 300 dishes from six cuisine themes
including Asian-inspired Hot Wok and continental Italian Bites. The pavilions
have been architecturally designed to harmonise with the new Wild Asia
exhibit next door, with panoramic windows facing the new pools and an
added bonus of Sydney Harbour views. A TASTE OF SYDNEY Specialising in indulgent travel experiences for couples
and small groups, Australia in Style has a three-hour Taste of Sydney
Tour showcasing the citys culinary diversity. The tour begins with
a drink beside the Sydney Opera House, after which you visit the Liverpool
Street Spanish Quarter and Chinatown in Haymarket, before arriving at
Leichhardts Little Italy to dine in the open-air piazza-style Forum,
where modern Italian cooking meets the best of Sydney produce. Prices
begin at $195 and include your guide, food and luxury travel. DARLING HARBOUR SHUTTLE Travelling around Darling Harbour has just become easier
with a water-taxi shuttle linking the harbourside shopping and dining
precinct with Cockle Bay Wharf, King Street Wharf and the National Maritime
Museum. With so many attractions including The Powerhouse Museum,
Australian National Maritime Museum, Imax Cinema and Sydney Aquarium
the shuttle makes it easier to see more in a day, visiting each stop every
20 minutes between 10am and 8pm on weekdays and 10am and 9pm on weekends.
The price is $2 ($1 for children) and tickets can be purchased onboard
or from the Cockle Bay Marina, near the Imax Theatre. SKY HIGH Sydneys new Skywalk will take you to new heights
on external walkways constructed around the peak of Sydney Tower. Expect
spectacular views of the city and beyond on this 75 minute adventure,
no less than 268 metres above the city twice the height of Sydney
Harbour Bridge. Dressed in protective clothing and safety-harnessed to
the walkways, youll see from the beaches to the Blue Mountains with
expert Skywalk leaders equipped with multilingual audiovisual technology.
The accessible platforms are also suitable for wheelchairs. Open every
day (except Christmas Day) from 9am to 9.30pm, Skywalk costs $109 for

town is the opening of the sugaroom restaurant/bar/lounge. This waterfront,
multipurpose dining venue takes its name from the original CSR sugar refinery
building. With the docklands giving way to apartment-style living, sugaroom
is one of the latest additions to the growing choice of eateries and bars.
The menu is casual and innovative, showcasing chef Greg Andersons
creativity and his carefully sourced produce. Think freshly shucked oysters;
barbeque pork belly with seared scallops and baby herbs; salmon fillet
with roast potato and crab cake; and pan-fried salt-water barrumundi with
oxtail ravioli. You can also drop in for cocktails at the stylish lounge
bar and have brunch at weekends. Open for lunch Tuesday to Sunday, dinner
Monday to Saturday, and all-day brunch on weekends. sugaroom, 1 Harris
Street, Pyrmont. TOUR THE SYDNEY FISH MARKET What to do in Sydney midweek? The behind-the-scenes
