With its rugged coastline, sandy bays, excellent diving and fine cuisine, Vanuatu’s main island, Efate, is a romantic place where France meets the South Pacific.

Efate has only one town, Port Vila, which offers a wide range of dining including French, Vietnamese, Chines, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, Thai and Mediterranean.

Of course island holidays are more about resort living than anything and so you will definitely want to spend time just enjoying your surroundings, swimming in the lagoon and taking that well-deserved massage you have been promising yourselves!

When it’s time for some action there are many forms of watersports including incredible diving as Vanuatu’s underwater world offers great visibility and a wide diversity of dive sites. What can you see? Underwater mountains with sheer cliffs, caves and connecting tunnels of frozen lava, sponges, sea fans, plate corals and a fabulous array of fish to name some of the amazing sights.

Wrecks are a major feature of Vanuatu’s diving world including the mighty SS President Coolidge, while coral reefs and drop-offs are enjoyed on full day dive cruises to the offshore islands of North Efate. Non-divers can also cruise for a day’s sailing with maybe some snorkelling and beachcombing in the deserted bays.
