Information about St Helens:
St Helens is the largest town and holiday destination on Tasmania's East Coast. Located on Georges Bay, St Helens prides itself on its warmth and sunny aspect. The town is famous for its crayfish, scallops, abalone, flounder and bream. The beautiful white beaches, aquamarine waters and heavily timbered sand dunes to the south are ideal for surfing and swimming. They stretch from St Helens to St Helens Point where there are a couple of walking tracks, scenic drives and viewing areas. The Local History Room is of interest.
