Information about Berrima:
Berrima is a remarkably well-preserved town which retains the appearance and feel of an English village. This reflects the fact that it possesses many substantial buildings which were erected in the 1830s as part of a plan intended to establish Berrima as a major centre. Many of Berrima's fine buildings have now become art-and-craft shops, gift shops, cafes and restaurants, although the commercialism has done little to detract from the town's beauty and historic feel. A walking tour is available from the Berrima Courthouse Museum. Berrima offers some fine boutique accommodation.
