Milton is an attractive rural centre which entices the traveller with a range of gift shops, cafes, antique shops and craft outlets. Linked to Ulladulla and some smaller coastal holiday resorts, Milton has numerous historic buildings of interest, including The Settlement (1860), with its specialty shops, the Milton Post Office (1880), Milton Town Hall (1871) and the Milton Courthouse. Historic homesteads in the area include 'Kendall Dale', the former home of the Kendalls who were the area's first European settlers. Also in the area are Lake Conjola and the lookouts at Pointers Gap. Fine accommodation is available at Milton.
