Perisher Valley is a popular skiing destination in the Snowy Mountains with a wide range of accommodation options. Of greatest interest to non-skiers at Perisher Valley is the remarkable Skitube, a railway journey that takes in the longest railway tunnel (6.3 km) in the country. The Bullock Flat station is an ideal start for the climb up Mount Kosciusko. In spring and summer the walks around Perisher Valley are exhilarating. The alpine flowers are dramatic and the views are often spectacular. Perisher Valley's ski lift rises to 2054 metres.
