Information about Ballina:
Ballina is a major holiday and service centre at the mouth of the Richmond River. It is also the home of the 'Big Prawn', a building which houses gift shops and eateries. There are some fine beaches around Ballina and main street features several attractive buildings, notably the Ballina courthouse, the Ballina post office, Maritime Museum and Fenwick House. The MV Richmond and MV Florrie are further reminders of Ballina's maritime past. Also of interest are the town lookout and the lighthouse. Visitors will find some quality accommodation at Ballina.
