Kempsey is a large and important rural centre on the Mid North Coast. With access to many delightful coastal retreats, Kempsey is a popular stopover for people heading north along the Pacific Highway. The award-winning Kempsey Historical Museum is located in the same building as the Kempsey Information Centre. Of interest are the Apex Park Historical Lookout and the town's historic buildings which include the elegant Kempsey Courthouse and the High Victorian Kempsey Post Office.
