Uriarra, sometimes known as Uriarra Crossing, is an outer suburb of Canberra. Located 20 km from the centre of Canberra on the Uriarra Road, Uriarra is located past the Mt Stromlo Observatory. Uriarra is still rural. Uriarra is a delightful area on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River which, in recent times, has seen the development of excellent local accommodation which allows visitors to feel they are only 20 minutes from the centre of the city while relaxing in the country.
